Earthquakes

Oct 03

Maine normally does not have that many earthquakes that can be felt, in fact, the last time I remember experiencing one was roughly 10 years ago. I was home sleeping and woke to house shaking and things on shelves rattling, I don’t remember the Richter rating though.

Last night was Bar Harbor experienced its third quake in the past two weeks, last nights measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale. The aftershocks were felt 45+ miles away in Bangor, where I live. I was watching Prison Break around 8PM and heard a large rumbling noise, looked down about my Xbox 360 controller to see if I left it on but it was not and then heard and saw the walls shaking. What an experience that was, I love Thunderstorms, earthquakes and the such.

No real damage was done thankfully, besides some fallen rocks and broken pipes in Bar Harbor.
