Autumn

Sep 28

I took today off from work to enjoy the nice fall weather we are having. Low 70’s with a crisp breeze. The leaves have started to turn, but nothing to get excited about, yet. I drove up to Dexter to see my grandparents, when I arrived, they were not home. I decided to take a walk in the fields and photograph some scenery. I took quit a few photos. I have found that the photos look much clearer when I have the resolution set to 2272×1704 and have the saturation turned up a bit. I found a few things that would make a great macro image. If you want the un-cropped image, let me know. You can see them here.

After checking out the field behind my old house, the frog ponds and the woods, I ventured into the corn fields and into another part of the woods. I got a little lost tried to find the old railroad trestle, but eventually I found it. One of my favorite things to do is to walk through the woods and listen to all of the animals, feel the breeze flow over you and take in the scent of autumn.

Bangor Baptist

Sep 25

Another crisp day today! I decided to attend Bangor Baptist this morning. I went to their College and Careers class and than Contemporary Service. I met some people my age and hope to hang out with them soon. I’m glad to meet Christians my age! Class and Service was good, I really like having a praise and worship service, it uplifts my whole day and helps me concentrate on the Lords word even more. Pastor Mick announced that BB was having a P&W worship service tonight as well. I attended and had a great time.

Jon Chrisos, a high-school friend came over in the afternoon. He wanted to see my new TV and shop for a TV for himself.

New theme for Ogden2k.NET

Sep 24

As you can, I have updated the entire site. It’s completely PHP driven now. I hope you like the new eye candy that has been bestowed upon you. When I saw the photo that you see in the header, it brought me back to my child hood, I instantly thought of the days my brother and I used to play in the fields. Some of the CSS bugs are still being worked out. Almost every page is XHTML 1.1 Strict compliant.

So, I hope you enjoy the new theme, I’m planning on adding a few more things.

New TV and the end of summer

Sep 24

Today is the end of summer weather here in the State of Maine. It was sunny, clear and crisp; weather that I enjoy very much. I put away my shorts and cleaned out my closet this morning to prepare for the onslaught of winter.

Dave Ruiz, one of my co-workers, came over today and we went TV shopping. Dave knows a sales man at Circuit City, and he helped me get a good deal on a TV I have been looking into for a few weeks. I bit the bullet and bought the TV. It’s a Sony KD-34XBR960, 34″ widescreen HDTV, CRT. It’s very nice, I’m happy with it. I sold my old TV to Dave. I’ll have pictures up in a bit for those of you who want to see what it looks like.

Here’s a photo.

Update: Here’s a photo that I took on April 4th, 2006.

Lost

Sep 22

I’m hooked on the ABC show “Lost”. I never watched Season 1 during its airing on TV because Smallville was on at the same time. I purchased the Season 1 set a week ago and went through it in one week. I was so captivated by it. I watched an entire disc (5 episodes) in one night. I know, I don’t have a life. I love suspense, drama and action. The character that I relate to the most is John Locke. I don’t have his woodsman skills, but his personality is a lot like mine. I personally would like to be on that island, just like him as well. I was very surprised at last nights Season 2 premiere. The hatch was opened and its contents revealed… I never saw that coming.

I just got back from a doctors condo, I had to fix his PC. The power button would not work, printer would not install. $60 for ~an hour and half. Stargate Season 8 and Atlantis Season 1, here I come.

Well, I’m off to watch some more TV… don’t say it, I know, I need a life. If you know of a nice Christian female my age, feel free to introduce her to me. Heh.
