Mom & Jack visits

Jun 30

Still having the nice weather and am enjoying it! I wish I could go to Bar Harbor, I just don’t like going by myself. Today is the day Mom and Jack come up to Maine to visit!

I got home from work and Mom and Jack came over for supper. We had Kentucky Fried Chicken takeout. We talked for a hour or so and Jack left to visit some family. Mom and I went shopping for some plant pots for my new Aloe Vera plant she bought me. I bought some soil and a two nice pots.

We got home and watched some Stargate SG-1. After, Mom and Jack went home for the night.

Sunny weekend

Jun 26

Wow, it’s been a tad over 100F here today and yesterday. I like it! I was going to go up to dad’s camp again, but I was lazy and didn’t call in time. So the next time I will be able to go up is hopefully in two weeks. Next weekend is the 4th, Mom and Jack are coming up so I will be spending time with them.

I finally have completed, well, almost completed my Entertainment database. I have added all of my movies, games, DVD TV shows and have finished implementing a search function as well. I’m going to work on converting this blog into a MySQL DB and possibly RSS.

I went to Bangor Baptist church this morning to see what it’s like, I enjoyed it a lot. I think I may go back tonight for the evening service.

Its been awhile

Jun 19

It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged, I’ve been tied up with work, TechieHQ and watching Stargate. Today was pretty warm out, ~85F. I went to Cornerstone today, like I do every Sunday. I ran the multimedia overhead and then attended Sunday school.

After church, I called my dad to make sure the weather is nice in Kokadjo where his camp is. It was ~80 up there, so I drove to Dexter then to Guilford to Greenville and then to Kokadjo, took me about an hour 1/2. When I got there, we sat around for awhile and talked. His brothers were up there along with the wives. After awhile we ate and then my dad and I went fishing. We did not catch anything that was larger the 18″. After that we drove around and saw a couple of moose. I stayed for about 6 hours and then went home. I had a really good time with him and plan on going up again soon.
